I wasn't smiling when you passed away
though I'm hurting each and everyday
I lost a friend & someone who I've known
I opened my eyes & I was feeling alone.
It's a brand new day and you're not here
wishing this sadness would all disappear
you passed away when things went great
I woke up this morning with so much hate.
My heart aches when I hear your name
there would be days I would feel ashamed
a friend & someone I trusted with my life
you were a great friend & an amazing wife.
You passed away & my heart would just ache
something in me would tremble and shake
I opened my eyes and I saw a new day
it broke my heart when you passed away.
