the worries of life seem to fade
as I gaze upon your face
which is pleasing as heaven's grace
everything was in a perfect harmony
with your mellow voice
that still lingers in my head
and heals the agony of my heart
but we've come a long way
filling voids of emptiness
ever since we had our last met
where we promised to get back
as our cheeks glistened
with our last embrace
beneath the stellar sky of grace
though we knew since the first day
that it might be the last day
from where there won't be another quarrel or goodbye
wish we had met ahead or behind time
with a couple more moments to hold on
before rushing to another chapter to fill on
