All my life I’ve been different
Never really fitting in
That was a real irritant
I felt like I could never win
Friends were few and far between
But soon I realized something
that I hadn’t foreseen
I realized that nothing
Was wrong with me
I finally understood that what makes me different
Makes me special and that realization set me free
Being different is magnificent
Never forget that you are perfect the way you are
And that your differences make you shine like a star
