There is a kind of fungi
That grows deep underground
Attached to every root
Scientists have found

The fungi kept sweet
With a steady flow of sugar

They have with each other

From the biggest of all trees
To a single blade of grass

Linking up all plant life

This connection is used

For the whole forest
