Mother
The entire world was an edge of darkness
For the blind girl could see light only in her gaze
The rumbling earth went unheard to the child
Who listened to the steps she paved.
And that little boy who has lost all his words since childhood
Contrived to cry out to her essence.
And through the entire world when I rampaged,
Never was found something as warm as her embrace.
For in heaven stay,
I would still wish to be pampered by her cradle.
And if ever angels spoke,
I would always yearn to be a Mother
As lovely a Mother she is to me.
