A Desert-A Memory
Penning down the sentiments I just have encountered,
I revisited the place we had once gathered.

I saw there a gloomy sunset,
It recalled me the time we had last met.

I saw each grain of sand as my known,
Those desert dunes call us and moan.

That palm tree we stood under to take ten,
Seemed like yearning for us every now and then.

I could see your footprints on sand,
That now nor feel the weight.

Everything then was so jovial,I construe,
Have the circs changed or there were present you?

I heard the voice echoing in my ears,
"Look behind! Your ally's here".

I could find none in twilight, nothing in the forlorn moon,
And walked alone in the frightened croon.

In blowing wind was the sound,
Of our names rolling round.

And by the hush of waters it faded away,
As my heart sank in sludges of slimy grey.

How scratching the memories could end,
I wondered as I sat on the strand.
