Shattered Soul
I gave you my all, my heart's deepest core
Trusted you with every fragile part
Fought for our love, against all odds and more
Even family ties, I dared to sever

But you, my love, crushed me with a blow
Left me shattered, like fallen snow
Stole my soul, or so it would seem
Leaving me hollow, a haunting dream

Pieces of me, scattered on the ground
Lost and broken, without a sound
I search for shards of my former self
But they're hidden, beyond my wealth

How do I gather the fragments of my heart?
Mend the cracks, and play a brand new start?
I yearn to heal, to love again someday
But the memories of you won't stray

Your touch, your smile, your loving gaze
Haunt me still, in endless, sleepless days
My soul cries out, in anguish and pain
Longing to be whole, to love again

But I must rise, and face the sun
Learn to let go, and have fun
Find my strength, my voice, my way
And slowly gather the pieces, day by day

For I am more than shattered remains
I am a phoenix, with burning flames
I'll rise from ashes, born anew
And my heart, will heal, and love again, true.
