Time has blown you away from me like strong winds,
I hope you don't forget what we have shared...
It seems like it was only yesterday when we were kids
We stood side by side staring into the night lights
The first time you spoke to me and broke the ice

The night we had officially met
The night I was truly myself
With each year we grow
I’m glad we remain the same
Although mutual is not to my taste
For you it’s pride I am willing to swallow
