silent weight
#ClockContemplations
I stand in silence, hands outstretched,
Counting seconds, soft and etched.
Each tick a whisper, each tock a sigh,
Marking moments as they fly.
The world spins 'round, yet here I stay,
Chasing shadows of yesterday.
In every swing, a fleeting glance,
Of life's perpetual, passing dance.
I watch the hours, watch them fade,
In golden dawn and twilight shade.
Though time is mine to gently keep,
It slips beyond, forever deep.
Still I tick, though none will see,
The silent weight of eternity.
