A million Shadows all around,
With prominent names & characters so sound.
Each of ‘em has got a role to play,
Aghast! Your life has turned grey.
You’re no more instrumental to them,
You are no more a part of them.
The million shadows who followed you so long,
As long as your life was a mellifluous song.
They forgot the days when they petitioned with hands stretched,
Asking help for their life so wretched.
Now when I stretch my hand for the reason same,
They have a hundred reasons to blame.
I am surprised by the allegations so harsh,
They keep darting my heart with every curse.
Now my impaired heart knows the world,
Only in my fortunate days all the shadows whirled.
My solitude is my only asset i know,
For it never wears a mask though.
My Solitude, My best companion of life,
I will never leave you alone in any strife.
You remain in me, even if I leave ,
'Solitude' I want to be with ,for the rest of my joy and grief.
