DISENCHANTMENT
Watching in fear the last light of my fire
Much like an ember falling to the cool state of it's mire
Expectations of forever sting like universal reliance
Now cackling at this disillusioned, mortal defiance

Requesting in vain for kindness to release Fate's providence
Gently weeping in the embrace of Death's requirements
Roots run thick as they subsume this feeble body
Pictures overwhelm as memory alludes to folly

Hidden understanding rushes as if plucked from deep waters
Emotions erupt, exposing life as satire
Suddenly calm and aware of every misstep
I am born again and screaming

Do not ignore Pathos!

Karma will intercept
