hush child and sleep,
I'll tell you a story
of some not far ago.
never fear nor weep
and save your worry
this tale won't end in woe

a man was yet wasn't
his love the same
they met, and didn't,
in another place

they were ever so different
and ever alike
he thought he'd never save her
though he tried as he might

he suffered and cried
but never stopped thinking
for in his mind he recalled
a little light blinking

not such a suprise
he found a way
because everyone dies
but not everyday
