Cry for help
You know that feeling,
When life becomes boring?!
When you lay in bed awake
And the tears keep pouring.
But for what? What's the reason?
You already have it all.
A family, a husband and children
Why then does the world seem so small?
You try to be a super-woman,
To juggle it all, with one hand only.
With the other one you have to keep yourself steady,
'cause the life of a superhero is often lonely.
At work and at home your tasks never end,
You don't have the energy for everything.
Often your strength is just a pretend.
At first you try not to show it,
You bury it deep inside and ignore it.
The feeling is overwhelming,
Tries to break through,
You don't let it show though, it would be a taboo
It turns and transforms
Into melancholy, maybe even misery.
Your cheerful self is disappearing,
You're full of frustration and fury.
You're diagnosed with Burn out and depression,
Though you can't say it, it'd be too big of a confession.
No one needs to know, no one understands anyway.
When even your loved one doesn't get you,
You can't mask it, you do feel betrayed.
You try to talk to explain it better,
Express it through pictures,
Maybe even letters.
You see it doesn't help,
You see it doesn't matter.
But you want to fight and beat it.
To be a winner you are determined.
To stand on your own two feet,
Before everything is ruined.
So here's the question to you all.
For someone it would mean the world,
For others it would be just small.
How do you go back, to that cheerful self,
To that happy person you were?
How do you break from this curse free?
Where do you find the cure?
