I never knew,
that it could hurt to breath.

that eyelids could weigh so heavily.
Opening my eyes
is close to impossible.
I never knew,
that the mind
could detach itself from the body.
A paralysis has taken over me.
I wish to speak
but words fail,
to form on the tongue.
The era of hopelessness
has colonized my soul!
