I've grieve before.

Once lost in sorrow's deep and endless night,
I walked the path of grief with heavy feet,
Each step a struggle in the absence of light,
My heart consumed with aches I couldn't beat.

The memories like knives that cut so deep,
The tears that flowed like rivers from my eye's,
The wound inside my soul that cannot sleep,
The weight of loss that filled me with surprise.

But then a glimmer of hope did appear,
A light that shone upon my shattered heart,
A voice that whispered softly in my ear,
And slowly, I began to play my part.

For though the pain will never quite depart,
The love I've shared remains a work of art.
