You sat with me under the shade of the trees,
Reading out the words that made no sense,
Not once did you lose faith,
Or let me be,
The slow and steady learner,
The butt of all the jokes,
Duffer! Failure! And more...


Yet the yesteryears bring tears of joy,
For the vibes you passed on,
Will forever be in my heart.
Now when I see the same old tree,
My heart pains a bit,
How well the tree survived,
I wish our kinder could be revived.
