On the days that we cannot
Let's remember when we could
When the "first" anything toyed with our heart strings
They drove us out of bed
Into misery
and back again

On the days that we cannot
Let us think for others, rather than ourselves
Let's utter sweet words to those who can

Get out of bed
Take a shower
Straight-backed, smiling;
For those that have days that they cannot
To feel motivated when they see those who can

On the opposing side of the fence
The grass always looks greener
To aspire is creating a possibility
So set plans, when you can
for the days when you cannot.
