What's my life before this?
Before my first smile led to my first kiss.
Before everything I do, didn't revolve around you.
When my heart was filled with joy.
Like a kid with his new toy.
Now every fist I take, makes my heart break.
And when the wind touches my skin I feel shivers within.

What was life before this?
When everything I did, was loved and appreciated.
And never did I feel so abandoned, rejected or humiliated.
When I was God's gift to someone,
and not just a token.
What was life before this?
My life before this now seems like just a dream.
Left in the dark and never to be seen.
And only when I'm gone, will my story live on.
The story of my life, my life before this.
