Reflections in Still Waters
A quiet deep swimming pool,
Where moonlight dips, serene and cool.
The air hangs heavy with night’s breath,
A tranquil pause, defying death.
No whispers of the world invade,
No hurried steps, no plans delayed.
Just stillness vast, a sacred site,
A realm untouched by mortal plight.
Bats sweeping down like a steel-scythe,
Piercing shadows through the starlit night.
Their wings outstretched in arcs so wide,
Echoes ripple as they glide.
To drink blue water on the pool,
Where silver trails reflect the moon.
A fleeting touch, a hurried sip,
Then back to the air, their wings equipped.
Dash! calm and still afresh to writhe,
The liquid...

A tranquil pause, defying death.
No whispers of the world invade,
No hurried steps, no plans delayed.
Just stillness vast, a sacred site,
A realm untouched by mortal plight.
Bats sweeping down like a steel-scythe,
Piercing shadows through the starlit night.
Their wings outstretched in arcs so wide,
Echoes ripple as they glide.
To drink blue water on the pool,
Where silver trails reflect the moon.
A fleeting touch, a hurried sip,
Then back to the air, their wings equipped.
