Happy International Men's Day

Thankyou for making those changes in my life
I'll pay my gratitude for its time
When we put light
Onto your fights
To break stereotypes
"Men don't cry"
" Show ur manly might"
"You shouldn't be shorter than your wife"
But why?
Not only mine but
Your life is also black and white
While removing the darkness from mine
I forget to have you shine
It's not just us that patriarchy affects
But you also see it's effects
When men are questioned while taking care of their child
Because " it's the duty of his wife"
"Men can't be victims" Who said so?
Well, whoever said that couldn't steep any low

While we shout everyday for our rights
In the noise, we forget to listen to your voice
Your voice for breaking myths
While you're being a man every girl would feel harmless with
No! Not because you have to "guard her"
But your simple actions preventing her having a sorrowful night
In those dark streets, where you don't forget respect and don't do what some might
