Stop Pretending That Everything Is Okay—
Stop pretending that everything is okay, because it's not. Down it's falling, at our feet balling, but we still convince ourselves the best is calling.

We've been waiting years for a change--God, turn the page, we've nothing left to wage, we've trapped in a cage, our dismay and rage, seeking a sage, so we have a chance to upstage.

Give us a change to make rights out of our wrongs, it may take long to sing our song, to find where we belong, happiness we overlong, but let us become strong.

We don't have to hide but can speak our mind, break the ties that keep us bind, the sickness we unwind, learning each day to be kind, soon enough our purpose we will find.

You're not weak for crying, whoever said so is lying. don't sell what they're buying, be done instead of trying, to be like them is complying, to the hate directed at you and that's applying, the sickness that makes you feel like dying... Until you believe you're enough I'll keep prying, so just quit denying...

We get beat up and cry sometimes, but being sad isn't in the list of crimes, that's any worse than failing the climbs, for all the reasons I make these rhymes, is to remind you that you are you and that's what fine defines.

Thanks to you I am free, now I see the bad flee, you can disagree, but I am me, and that's the me-est thing I can be, and now you're the key who can't plea.

But you can be this way, not a price to pay, because you're allowed to stay, you're dlowed to sway, you're allowed to be happy each and every day, so I say--stop pretending that everything is okay.
