Prophecy class/Covid 19

Countries have pulled down their roller shutters
And the only slogan that is chanted on the streets is 'united we fall and divided we stand.'

Your favourite pastor has proved to be a weakling 
'Cause all those prayers that he prayed were just mere lyrics that climbed the ladder of sky 
Then bounced back to earth like a ball of soccer

That prophet too whom you worshipped like a god
Failed woefully to tell the future and this is enough evidence that all those cheap miracles 
You kept talking about were just mere schemes
Cause your prophet was more interested in the profit and nothing else

Bars too have been closed 
And on the lips of men there are writings,,
If you interpret them well you will be surprised 
Cause their meaning has never been this obvious
For they hunger for whiskey more than ever before

But rivers are still flowing and the cool breeze keeps dancing alongside the flowing waters
more peaceful than ever before,
Trees have smiles on their invisible faces
'Cause man who literally destroys them
Is quarantined inside his self made jail

The planets too are still on in their orbit
And the earth has never stopped rotating on it's axis
The moon too has never grown tired of encircling the gallant earth,
The universe is still as infinite as it was 
many moons ago

All hail fauna and Flora

But sorry to you and me 
'Cause prophecy class has been cancelled 
due to unforeseen circumstances

You and I are clowns of the worst kind
And daily we sit in a corner 
fearing our unknown and unseen adversaries

Come take my hand 
Let us go to the river to cry
Even as we watch our tears flow
'Cause maybe our souls might be cleansed.
