THE WANDERER
In the Dead of night just past the devils hour.
You stir awake from a peaceful sleep.
Something is wrong, you tense up as dread climbs columns of your spine.
All eyes on you,but from where? From who?
Gazing from the shadows I lock you in my sights.
Motion based sensing ,I can smell you for miles.
Speed of darkness faster than light.
You'd have better luck trying to run than fight.
The Dead don't die Twice.
Outside your window a silhouette .
A featureless reflection Surveying the prey behind glass panes.
I need no invitation.
Inside your head been crossing the threshold.
Screams I feel even though your mouth is sealed.
Trembling ceased, before my eyes is a statue of flesh. Come on.
RUN.
Why not make it FUN.
Pulse on the rise ,cold sweat forming at the top of you back dripping down your spine.
This shouldn't be possible you think,it has to be wrong,a dream?
A hallucination Maybe?
The Grim irony ,You were lied to all your life. Told My kind are fairy tales contained with in the pages of books lie these realms of magic and fantasy. That world is the same one around you you see. Hence why you're mind is shattering trying to comprehend this creature towering over you being able to exist. If you'd have thought for yourself instead being given guidelines ,youd have known What I know but you didn't now I'm devouring your throat . Jagged bone with grooves for blood chomping trachea. Gurgling the percussion escaping that hole in your neck.Lungs filled with fluid.Ill take them with me as tissue canteens. A taste before I Slay.
Chest cavity separated with precision, rib cabinet doors vital organs harvested. Nothing goes to waste . Take my spoils and I'm On my way ,leaving your carcass in my ravenous wake . Wondering what you did to deserve such a fate? The Wanderer never disciminates, all bleed the same in the end. Off in hunt of the next victim.
