I don’t want to be here,

This wasn’t an option,

Days are just time now,
With no sleep division,
Exhausted, so tired,

There by the armchair,
Where you would always sit
A glimpse of you then gone
Behind deaths curtain slipped,

I wake up in the happy me,
Before the clouds turned mean,
Remembering how things once were,
How lovely life had been,

Still I make two mugs of tea,
Sometimes call out your name,
The echoing silence in thunderous reply,
Still shocks me, to my shame,

How do you stop loving them
When suddenly they’re just gone?
Emotions, feelings, life and love,
It’s not you who switches them on,

Forever we two are entangled
From our atoms to gluons and quarks
The pair of us will always be one
Even when one falls dark
