Breaking Free
I feel free, for the caged bird of love has taken its flight,
I have no feelings for him, a moment lost to night.
In the silence left behind, I find my own sweet grace,
A quiet space where echoes vanish without trace.

The days we shared have drifted, like leaves upon the stream,
Their whispered promises dissolve into a dream.
The love we once held close now fades into the mist,
A phantom of the past, a shadow that’s dismissed.

In the gentle act of parting, I’ve unearthed a serene shore,
Where memories no longer haunt and no longer implore.
No longer bound by yesterdays, I embrace the dawn’s first light,
As I move beyond the twilight, into freedom’s purest sight.
