I'm struggling inside to find my own voice
but living each day for me is a personal choice
a lifetime of abuse and trauma that I endured
yet talking about the trauma makes me cured.
I'm using my voice to speak my anger & pain
though I look at the world with anger & disdain
I woke up this morning with anger deep inside
by speaking these words, I can still have pride.
