You buried your love for me
under a tombstone,
between a tree.
Bit of a weird thing to do I thought,
I'm just glad now that I'm free.
Your face still pops up
on Instagram or perhaps
my Facebook feed.
I always curse under my breath
as I remember your greed.
There should be no right or wrong way
to live this life.
A cold, bleak, standard day for us,
where you could cut the atmosphere
with a knife.
This is how you made it so.
I'm glad I took the chance to go.
It doesn't matter

I would've put it out in the road
