Big Human Being
You know the worst thing is I'm not quite smart. But I will say I am smart in this poem
because I have realized most of what we become in our world comes from faith, from a severe wish to be so
In this poem I will become all and everything my wandering mind dares to consider
I will be the best student. I will be the richest doctor from my class. I will own a house beside Otedola's at Banana Island and invite him and Dangote over for dinner and serve them Afang soup.
I will find love and marry someday. Even if my chances are subzero. Even if my heart was stolen from birth with a hole left in it's place. I know someone will find my five pronged star and consider me then I will cast my light upon her, over and over.
Right here in night class, I count 15 other people and I know no one's more uncertain of the future than I am, and no one else is more believing of how big my life will become.
