My Childhood Memories
#WritcoPoemPrompt49 @AtulPurohit
The days of slate and chalk,
Are not easy to erase,
They hold memories,
Of my childhood,
Where the world was full of colours,
And hearts without any hatred.
A childhood where I slept on granny's lap,
listening to the stories of prince and princesses,
stories of fairies and witches,
Imagining myself fighting the villians.
Memories of times when I built sand castles,
Smiling heartily at my work,
When I first fell from the bicycle,
And hit my knees hard.
Days when I forgot my sadness with a single candy,
When I was little naughty,
But got way without any scoldings,
Just by smiling cutely.
Memories which remind me of my curious mind,
when I asked tons of questions,
I danced when it rained,
Jumping in the muddy water,
When I lost my first tooth,
When I first painted a mess on paper.
A childhood so pure
So full of innocence,
It wrenches my heart,
I wanna go back to that time,
I wanna live my childhood again;
But this time I dont wanna grow up,
I don't want to see a cruel world,
I'll live in my imagination,
Where there is,
Only happiness, no pain!
