UNDER CITY LIGHTS
I'm all alone, stayed humble to these desires,
Fanned the flames, now they're burnin' like wildfires,
But why can't they see? I've been showin' that I care,
They keep humiliatin', ain't it just unfair?

Don't I deserve a warm embrace, a smile that's true,
I'm down on my knees, but they just misconstrue.
They doubtin' me now, maybe I disgust 'em,
But I swear, deep inside, it's love that I thrust 'em.

I can't stand to see 'em lonely, it's breakin' my heart,
I wanna rewind time, back to the start,
When we held hands tight, through the darkest nights,
And our laughter echoed under city lights.

But now it's like a storm, and the skies are gray,
I'm tryna find a way to bring back yesterday,
To rekindle that flame, and rebuild what we had,
But it's hard when trust's gone, and the love's gone bad.

I'm holdin' on tight to these memories of old,
Tryna heal the wounds, tryna mend the soul,
I hope one day they'll see the love that's real,
And we can go back to smilin', makin' life a thrill.
