Thoughts and friends tell me,

They say, "The best is yet to come"
I wonder how the best couldn't be you, I must confess
I live but it's futile to live
When I know you won't be mine,
For a lifetime, thanks to fate
That changed most of these plans
I wanted to make it possible,
To see where it goes
Being accommodating, tolerant
And making conditions favourable
The predictable season brought with it, an anomally
A blizzard sprung up abruptly
Winter came too soon.
It's another encounter, a lesson,
But definitely not a good one,
"The future holds a perfect replacement," they say,
Here's the thing, it isn't sure
The situation I find myself in,
Tests every bit of my person
The reasons I can't be happy
No matter how hard I keep on trying
I've listened to what they have to say
So I make attempts to move
But I can't feign strength even in fake steps
When I want to live the less life they said I'd live with you.
