{OUR ONE-SIDED RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD}

How committed am I in this relationship?
Am I valuable and efficient enough for Him?
Our relationship has been one sided.
My sense of responsibility has amounted zero.
With selfish desires, I kneel and plead,
Ignoring His wisdom, consumed by greed.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐈 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞?
is a question I hear almost everyday.
And truth be told,
I may have been very selfish and self centered.

In this transactional bond, I strive to gain,
But forget to offer myself as a LIVING SACRIFICE, in my pursuit of gain.
Blinded by wants, I fail to see,
The depth of His love, selflessly free.
Yet in His mercy, He gently calls,
To mend my ways, break down my walls.
So let me shed this selfish veil,
And in His grace, will I eternally sail.
To cherish the bond, beyond mere need,
With a selfless heart, in word and deed.
