“Firstborn”
Common sense;
If you have a child at 17 You have to love it as much as you love the ones you had at 27.

My fate was sealed in the same moment you lost your childhood, taking me down with you and robbing me of mine.
I am nothing more than a product of your hate and your failures,
Because I was born at a bad time,
Because I was born first.

I never got to have the you that healed,
And I never got a chance to not need the same healing as you.
Mom, I understand that you were sick, and young, and tired. I know that you never wanted me, and trust me, I’ll never forget.
I’m not mad at you for healing, I’m mad because you didn’t notice I was suffering too.

Do you even remember?
You don’t, do you?
You left me, and you never came back. Not really at least. Not as a mother.
I had to grow up without your love, and then I was forced to watch you love my brothers, when you remembered it was your time for weekend visit, and when you didn’t have an excuse to keep me away anymore.

You were distracted with your boyfriend
and your babies; your perfect,
last born babies
And you failed to notice your child
standing behind, reaching for the hand you were using to gently hold him, like you never did me.

Honest question; are you blind?
Or in denial?
I hope you will forever drown in the regret
of my memory. I wish to bring you shame
every time you think of what you did to me.
I promise, that I will forever haunt you.
Even if you were never put on trial,
I will make sure you serve a life long sentence anyway.

I’ll never let you rest when I suffered at your hand, because I’ll never allow you to determine my fate again.
