IN THE EYES OF A WOMAN
In the eyes of a woman,
There is a whole world.
Truths unspoken,
Because they are too atrocious
To be revealed.
Suffering experienced
But in silence,
Fueled by burning tears
And a taste in the mouth
More bitter than gall.
In the eyes of a woman
There are desires that have vanished,
Faint hopes
And Fears made of silences.
Feelings disappointed
And refusals not accepted.
Masked bruises
And abuses than ever
They can be washed off.
In the eyes of a woman
There is this,
But then, much more.
A thousand shades
Of which it is made up
Her heart,
A million facets
About her personality.
In the eyes of a woman,
There is that light
When she is in love,
And that wonderful happiness
When she is a mother.
The tenacity
to get where she wants,
And the strength
to fight battles.
She won't pull
Never back on anything,
Why the woman
that's how it is.
The woman is this,
The woman is everything.
