We sometimes think that
Only the present moment matter
But let me contradict that
With my everyday struggle

The first time was phenomenal
Was one of my best memories
Until it became out of control
And bought me so much misery

The worst think with living in the dark
Ain't getting lost from your destination
But  starting to love it more that the light
And having no reason for a deviation

For every win against my acceptance
My addiction leveled up higher
Didn't know how to quit all at once
Didn't remember that I could shine brighter
Until I red something I already knew

One step forward
Is better than
Many steps in your mind.
