I wept as I observe the the old passageway
Where the mighty lived down the lane
The medium that connected many to great success
The same alley that brought many back from success
How people offered so much to gain entry
And how individuals paid to view it's walls
The once beautiful walls have become frail
As I look around, series of questions occured to me
What happened to the beautiful scenery
Where are all the people that lived down the alley
Why have this alley be forgotten so soon
Who should I blame for this mood
l could picture some of the activities that took place here
The beautiful paintings on the walls
The quick movements of pedestrians
The occasional blowing of horns of vehicles
The gathering of youths along the lanes
Oh yes I can remember
The interesting activities that took place here
Now I can see it clearly
Mental images of a swift dance performed by lovers
The throwing of arms and jerking of knees
The shaking of waist and nodding of heads
The turning of bodies and clapping of hands
The twisting of shoulders and rolling of legs
The passion, the love and coordination were beyond description
At a point it became so real
They were only mental images from the past
Shadows of past events in this alley
How could this alley be forgotten
