The Leafy Glade.
Deep within a secret place,
Hidden from all eyes,
Two lovers meet, the angels weep,
As they realise in surprise.
They will never know perfection
Of a communion such as this,
So they steal into the heavens,
With the memory of their kiss.
They meet with such intensity,
Underneath the moon,
Their connection made upon the wind,
The sun rises all too soon.
There is no need for discourse,
As they soothe each others soul,
Coupled in that leafy glade,
Where they dare to lose control.
Time and space hold no meaning,
He’s always known her name,
Outside changes constantly,
Inside she stays the same.
Through ages past, and yet to come,
They’ll find each others light,
It shines out clear above all else,
And lights the darkest night.
Now the trees they whisper of the times,
When heart and soul were one.
The memory held within their grasp,
Long after they were gone.
Excited now they talk again,
Of two lovers as they meet,
Deep inside that leafy glade,
Two souls with one heartbeat.....
