How does a broken man cry?
Does he wrap his ego
in barkcloth, cover his
conscience with the earth
and wail like a banshee?
Or call the Oracle with
pride begging for reprieve.
And rescue seeking retrieve.
Who gives a man comfort
when anger is absorbed
inside and tears melt
as sea ice?
Does he drown in a
pothole of his own tears
or drench the robe
of a lover
