THE LET GO ARE GONE
Lord! Have you noticed us?
We’ve blamed ourselves for so long,
defamed by our instincts and thought.
We’ve lost sight of that light
at the end of the tunnel,
and while faith keeps fighting for us,
to move us through that funnel
we refused.
They say “greater is he that is in me
than he that is in the world,"
we’ve switched in a blink,
the pain and guilt we hold on to is greater
then the purpose and vision of our being in the world.
We’ve agreed to exchange our time for grime,
a needless change.
It is sad, to stand with our grief
in the mirror and ask;
are we capable of this task at hand?
We’ve lived totally outside our existence,
asking questions of who love us.
Gosh,
we chose to burn our heart and essence
the little chance we earn
knowing very well that
He, Lord, does not deal or repay us
according to the mistakes we’ve done
nor the pain others have caused.
You had guilt, I did same,
you’ve made mistakes, they got hurt,
we all have worshiped pain and all sort of bad energy.
To let go is to free you from
this apprehension and say;
“As I look to you Lord, I forgive,
and seeing your loving kindness, I live.
I let go all of my pain
through this forever goodbye train.
The good and grace have joined me
and as high as the heavens are above the earth
so is your great love toward me.
When storms of anxiety featured my footprint,
my speech, and beseech my heart,
I had no condemnation when I spoke you.
The let go are gone
through this forever goodbye train”.
