My Diamond Queen
Deep within my wanting heart,
A little beyond the cheery smile– my facade
There's a story I may perhaps never tell,
Of a Queen I lost but, all the same, still love.
She was mine before she was not,
And now I belong to her only in memory
Oft' I wonder if she knows,
I still wish to hear her say "I'm yours"..
Sadly, beyond my jolly smile– the lie,
Is a lie bigger than the one I hide
I sometimes fear when I felt she was mine,
I merely wanted my heart to rhyme
I wonder, does she think about me,
Or has she forgotten I exist?
Mayhaps, I'll meet her one day,
And see her beautiful smile again
My diamond Queen..
