With a smile on her face
She proceeds to act like everything in her head isn't out of wack
As if her life is on track
She holds it all in for only herself to hear those screams in her mind
Reminding herself every minute of every day that she's fine
Breathing in her nose out her mouth isn't helping this time
Each day it takes hold of her tighter like she's about to go under
Something is coming for her although she lacks the knowledge of what it could be
Fumbling franticly searching for answers while her heartbeat races
Looking around at eyes that can't understand the amount of pain she's in
No matter how much she tries to describe it in words
No one knows just how bad her anxiety attacks her
Her own worst enemy, it's me
Battling in a war that will never end
Reminding myself it's only in my head
And I have to continue to swim
