Cold Sweater

Held your sleeve before your hand,
The wool, mellow, like the sunrise.

Breathed your collar before your lips,
The yarn, soft, like the twilight.

Leaned on your shoulder before showing my feelings,
The mohair, gentle, like the sunset.

Cuddled to your side after my mind's unease,
Your heartbeat, a drum, like the roar of the thunder.

Snuggled into the sweater after the cold,
Your warmth, a lifeline, like the rays of the Sun.

Clutched on to you after our fight,
Your receding steps, my downfall, like the aftermath of a storm.

Held the tail of your sweater, before our forever,
The material stretching, tears descending, like an unending downpour of rain.

Now I stand in the change of the seasons with a Sweater on, to get rid of the Cold you left me with.
