The tears, shed in pain
Reminiscing echoes
Of unseen presence felt
A troubled past, drifting
in delicate mist
 
What spells humanity?
Love and compassion?
Deceit and pretence?
Betrayal and disappointment?
 
In the image of One
Pure, perfect
But manipulated by carnal thirst
 
A palette incomplete,
drenched in dark hue
My attempt at painting humanity
in colourful tones
A futile move, shattered
Into shades of hate and guilt
