Lost in the Desert
As the wild wind's howls in the barren wasteland,
I stood like cactus looking around the sand,

the sun remains harsh towards these wilderness,
like fire it could consume even emptiness,

a patch of shade is what I need to survive,
all I could see is abandon dunes in sight.

Lost in the desert, forsaken by my kind
sweltering in the heat wave outside my mind,

the pain of hunger creeps from the wind and sand,
enough time wasted mulling "What if I had",

is there oasis trickling water from spring,
where I could quench, and would hear birds sweetly sing.
