More sleep, perhaps?
#WritcoPoemPrompt112
With everything that life has to offer,
There's so much to be enjoyed,
But the pleasures of sleeplessness I suffer,
Is the one I cannot avoid.

Always a thought to assess,
A thinking thinker knows no rest,
always pressured to give their best,
Sometimes I am she,
and she is me.

As I offer words to inspire,
My eyes burn with desire,
But I often need more sleep,
I ask, is this really that deep?

I'm here nonetheless,
I'll have fun later,
and do something else.
Fun is good, but of what use?
If there's more to be done...

I have a mission,
I have goals,
Until I'm complete, I'll be a recluse.
Maybe I'll get a massage,
I need a masseuse.

Bedtime story,
Dr. Seuss.
