Mont D'or
Mont D'or

‎--------------

‏A poem by

Roba El-Yousif ‎*

‏Translated from the Arabic by

Hikmet Elhadj ‎*

--------------

‏Did your mother

give birth to you

in the pastures,

‏between the feet of a cow?

‏Have she kept you in a wooden box,

‏Fir bark surrounds you?

‏Are you deciding your freshness?

‏Do you regret your softness?

‏Do you repent of your sweetness?

‏Have you ever tasted Mont d'or cheese?

‏Is there any difference between you, ‏originally?

‏Originally,

‏Your heels was it.
