Indulging myself with several words
That I cannot seem to fathom
I took a five-minute break
To snooze my bursting brain
For a short time, I free myself
From the finical expectations
Everyone ought to please
For a short time, I let myself
Catch sight of little things
Left unnoticed
The verdant paint on my wall
The flimsy fur of my feline
Scattered around
The aroma of oils
Soothing my mind
When my ringtone goes off
I resume my tasks
With renewed perspective
Brought about by ephemeral time
