I went to the woods and found a fire,
I felt like I couldn't find my desire,
I lost myself, lost my part,
The void inside my broken heart,
I told you we made a connection,
Turns out it was only a reflection,
You and I apart for miles,
I admit I never missed your smiles,
I thought we just needed some distance,
But now, you ignore my existence,
You were acting selfish and cold,
Let's just see what life will behold,
Your eyes were closed and looked serene,
But that was love when you're sixteen,
All I crave for is your warmth,
but now I realise I'm surrounded by thorns...
