SWEAR I TRUTH (TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER)
SWEAR I TRUTH (TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER)

What more thoughts can drive my ink?
What more gratitude shall hold me high?
A life for thee as far I think,
Even beyond the realms of sky,
I got a world and a name and worth,
And all gay memories on this earth,
All for thee that I breathe joy,
And I'm no longer a coy little boy.

Bygone childhood framed I gold,
And oft had reminisced all my hours.
I've witnessed days as thou grow'st old,
Yet kept me protected from wildflowers.
Each neat wrinkle that I've seen on thee,
Has grown o'er ages as a doddering tree,
But still with firmness and true choice,
Thou hast groomed and endowed my voice.

'Tis not for a day or a specific date,
I do adore thee each new day.
Each new sun hath unveiled good fate,
And made me a pioneer on this bay.
I've felt thy presence and thy care,
And thy scent around my air.
I've thrived till skies and till the stars,
While thou smiled enwrapped in scars.

Soon the skies shall kiss thy feet,
And this world must vow to thee.
Each new hour shall gayly greet,
And shall make thou float in glee.
Swear I truth and swear I loud,
I shall make thou rein the clouds,
And build new castles on tinselled lands,
And on clouds and rainbow bands.
