Drinking
I'm just drinking every sorrow out of my bones
This stinking ole job is stressing me out
But I gotta stay
And get that cash for a better life
Though I got a cheating ass wife
That don't love me
Two younger kids
That aren't mine
And a older son that came out of me
But is a good hearted sensitive menace
I still gotta provide for them as a man
But I'm getting older
And weaker
And the town folks are finally going against me
I'm depressed
My wife's depressed
This job might not last for me
As someone is running against me as mayor
And my kids had moved on
From the abuse and neglection
To become better people
And my oldest son Orel
Who saw me for who I am when he was 12 and 13
( He saw me as a )
Broken man
Who drinks a lot
Who's hiding his sexuality from the town and his family
Who beats him
And give him speeches
Indocumenting him from a young age
To make him a spinning image of a broken man who's corrupt
But didn't work
Orel finally grown into a man of Elohim
And got a loving wife and family
Just seeing him succeed in life makes me glad
But I also feel aloof
As I got nobody but this drink
And even my rum is failing me
So I might self destruct

This poem is based on the character Clay Puppington from Moral Orel
